A Day to Remember, a Day to Serve: Why New Hope Gives Blood

For New Hope Realty Group, “Do Good Works” has never been a line added after the work is finished. It is part of why we do the work at all.

Each September 11, our community has an opportunity to turn remembrance into service. A blood donation is quiet, practical and deeply human. It asks for a little time, and it can become part of someone else’s emergency care, surgery, cancer treatment or recovery.

That connection is especially personal for our team.

Renée Jordan and Kristi Ice Smith began their careers as nurses. Carson Morgan serves as a firefighter. Kate Crabtree’s life has been shaped by military service through her father, 19 years as a military wife, and now children serving. Across those experiences is a shared understanding: when people need help, showing up matters.

New Hope has hosted a September 11 blood drive since its earliest days. This year’s drive carries another layer of meaning. Our office at 203 W New Hope Dr is under contract, making this the final blood drive we will host at this location before the next New Hope chapter begins.

We do not want to leave this place by simply packing boxes. We want to gather here one more time in the spirit that has always mattered most—neighbors, clients, friends and colleagues doing something useful together.

We Are Blood is our community partner. Advance appointments are strongly encouraged so the bloodmobile can arrive with a strong schedule, and walk-ins are welcome. Donors should eat a full meal beforehand and bring a photo ID.
